...all four vaccines in use in Europe contain a fatal design flaw: they cause the fusogenic, pro coagulation spike protein to be expressed wherever the vaccine is taken up. In some people, especially those so young that they’re at no measurable risk of death if infected by the virus, vaccination results in their deaths from thromboembolic events. The Covid "Vaccine": The Harm It Can Do, and Why Most People Don't Need It

First, let's be clear what this "vaccine" is. 

The "vaccines" currently being dispensed do not induce full-spectrum, lifelong immunity. They merely induce the production of antibodies to the SARS2 (aka Covid19) spike protein. This they do by inducing the cells of the vaccinated person to produce the SARS2 spike protein. The foreign protein thus produced, activates the immune system to produce SARS2-specific neutralizing antibodies—neutralizing, in this context, meaning protecting from infection, as opposed to merely resisting the consequences of infection. 

The down side is that the antibodies thus produced soon fade away. Thus the immunity of the "vaccinated" individual is transient, lasting no more than a year. What the vaccine does not do is induce robust and durable (probably, life-long) T-Cell immunity. 

So who needs the untested Covid19, aka SARS2, "vaccine".

No one who has already had the virus, certainly. Such people will already have undergone a full-spectrum immune response including the production of short-lived neutralizing antibodies and long-lived SARS2-recognizing T-Cells. 

And how many people is that? 

In October last year, the WHO estimated that it was one in ten of the World's population, or 767 million people.  So the number today must be well in excess of a billion, maybe two billion, or one person in four. 

And among the uninfected, there is absolutely no justification for "vaccinating" children. SARS2 is less dangerous to children than the seasonal flu and probably much less dangerous than the experimental "vaccines" themselves. 

54 children in the Land of the Free have died from COVID (according to CDC data through April 28). Given that there have been roughly 4 million confirmed COVID cases among children, this implies a survival rate of 99.999%. For kids, even the Chicken Pox is more fatal, not to mention a variety of other common illnesses ranging from the flu to strep throat. Yet the world never closed schools due to the chicken pox. Curiously, his grace, Lord Protector Anthony Fauci, noted back in 2009 during the Swine Flu epidemic that “we have already 76 children dying from the 2009 H1N1 virus, and it’s only the beginning of October.” Yet his eminence did not demand schools close. And the CDC specifically recommended NOT closing schools. (Fauci also stated then, “you can’t isolate yourself from the rest of the world for the whole flu season. . .”) Then there’s the Holy See of the World Health Organization, of whom no one is worthy to question. Yet the WHO says that “diarrhea kills around 525,000 children under five” every year. Yet did anyone ever close the schools to prevent the spread of the diarrhea-causing rotavirus? Source

If infected, children are rarely symptomatic and, like asymptomatic adults, they do not spread the disease. However, as a result of infection, children get full spectrum SARS2 immunity, including long-lasting T-Cell immunity from infection. 

"Vaccinating" children is thus a very bad idea. Indeed, vaccinating children seems like a criminal enterprise. It denies the child the chance of gaining the most robust and durable possible immunity from future SARS2 infection, instead condemning them to annual if not twice yearly "vaccine" jabs plus the risk of an adverse "vaccine" reaction, including possible death.  

"Vaccination", which is promoted as a means to achieving "herd immunity," is in fact a means of preventing attainment of herd immunity, which condemning billions of people to needless and costly annual or more frequent "vaccinations," which in themselves constitutes a significant risk to health.  

Among adults under the age of 65, SARS2 is rarely fatal. Furthermore, those most at risk are in the great majority of cases clearly identifiable. They include the overweight and the obese. Thus of Americans admitted to hospital with SARS2, 78% were overweight or obese. 

Other risk factors include diabetes, which is often associated with obesity, and diseases of the heart and lungs, including bronchitis, emphysema and asthma. For most adults, therefore, the case for "vaccination" is weak or non-existent. Infection, often asymptomatic, entails little risk and provides the benefit of long-term future immunity. 

Moreover, according to a British Medical Journal article by associate editor Peter Doshi, it is likely that around one third of adults have pre-existing immunity to SARS2 as the result of previous infection with a corona virus, such as strains causing the common cold.

For the over 65's, the main factor elevating the risk of death from SARS2 is age, or more specifically, a decline in heart and lung capacity. As physical activity declines, heart and lung capacity declines also. As a consequence, the additional strain on heart and lungs due to any infection, including SARS2, that clogs the lungs and airways with mucus is likely to overwhelm the system and result in death. That being the case, one of two things may save an elderly person in the event of exposure to SARS2: one is preexistent T-Cell immunity, which may approach 50% of the population among the old; the other is the experimental "vaccine."

Adverse Reactions to mRNA Covid Vaccines

 The mRNA "vaccines" against Covid19 deliver the genetic information that the virus uses to produce the so-called spike protein. This information is encoded in the sequence of ribonucleic acid bases that make up the mRNA molecule. 

The spike protein caps the spikes on the Covid19 virus particle and adheres quite specifically to certain of the cells (ACE2 receptors) of the epithelium that lines the lung. 

Once attached to an ACE2 receptor, the virus injects its genetic material into the cell. Thereupon, all components of the virus, not just the spike protein, are manufactured by the machinery of the host cell and self-assemble to create a mass of new virus particles. 

The information delivered to the cell (any cell in the body) in the form of an mRNA Covid19 "vaccine" is processed by the cell's protein synthetic machinery to produce spike protein. The spike protein is then  recognized by the immune system which, in response, produces antibodies that inactivate the spike protein of invading Covid19 virus particles, thereby resisting infection. 

Very clever. 

Except, among other things, it turns out that the spike protein is responsible, wholly or in part, for the symptoms of Covid19 disease, as just reported in the journal Circulation Research. What that means is that the mRNA vaccines may mitigate against Covid19 infection, or in the event of infection, Covid19 disease. However, it may itself cause lung injury and illness in the complete absence of the virus.

Wall St. Journal, May 2, 2021: An advanced society functions by creating a series of institutions, telling them what it wants them to do, and funding them to do it. Institutions like the police, fire departments, courts and schools do the jobs society creates them to do. But one American institution—higher education—has decided to repurpose itself. It has set aside the job given to it by society and substituted a different one.

Higher education had a cluster of related purposes in society. Everyone benefited from the new knowledge it developed and the well-informed, thoughtful citizenry it produced. Individual students benefited from the preparation they received for careers in a developed economy. Yet these days, academia has decided that its primary purpose is the promotion of a radical political ideology, to which it gives the sunny label “social justice.”

That’s an enormous detour from the institutional mission granted to higher education by society—and a problem of grave consequence. For the purpose that academia has now given itself happens to be the only one that the founding documents of virtually all colleges and universities take care to forbid pre-emptively. The framers of those documents understood that using the campuses to promote political ideologies would destroy their institutions, because ideologies would always be rigid enough to prevent the exploration of new ideas and the free exercise of thought. They knew that the two purposes—academic and political—aren’t simply different, but polar opposites. They can’t coexist because the one erases the other.

How to Travel Faster Than Light

 If you follow science news on the Internet at all closely, you will have seen recent discussion of the possibility of faster-than-light travel dependent on some actual implementation of Star Trek's warp drive (here, for example).  

The conclusion of such speculation seems to be that without expending the entire mass energy of the universe, faster-than-light travel is impossible. This, however, is a complete misunderstanding. To travel faster than light, for example on a mission to the planetary system of our nearest neighboring star, Alpha Centauri, all you need do is set off at an acceleration of 1 g, or 9.8 meters per second per second -- which is the acceleration due to gravity at the Earth's surface, and just keep going.

After one year at an acceleration of 1 g you will find yourself about one half light year from earth and your current velocity will be 1 C, or 299 792 458 meters per second. After another year, you will be travelling at 2 C. 

If you are planning to stop and turn for home when you reach Alpha Centauri, which is at a distance of 4.367 light years from Earth, this is the time you'd better be thinking of turning your rocket ship around and using your 1 g thrust motor to slow you down to a standstill relative to the Earth by the time you reach Alpha Centauri. 

Altogether, the trip will have taken you around four years—four years, that is, by the clock on board your space ship, or as measured by the biological processes of aging you have experience during the trip. 

To the folks back home, however, the trip will have taken a vastly greater amount of time. Indeed, by the time you get back home, your children if any, and grandchildren, will have long since died, and indeed human civilization itself may have passed away. Thus, if you are space travel enthusiast, you should be careful about what you wish for.

India's Catastrophic (OR NOT?) Covid Death Toll

India is reported to be experiencing a gigantic Covid second wave. Yesterday alone, the virus is said to have killed two thousand eight hundred and twelve Indians. In response to the catastrophe, the international community is organizing relief efforts. As the Spectator reports: 

The UK and the US are leading the delivery of aid to India, as the country battles a fierce second wave. The UK has sent 600 medical devices, including ventilators and oxygen.

But while every death is a tragedy, it should be remembered that, of India's 1.37 billion inhabitants, more than 27,000 usually die each day. So, at the height of the Indian epidemic, Covid is responsible for about 10% of all deaths, or about 2.06 per million of population per day. 

How does that compare with a first world country where the covid epidemic is past its peak and mass vaccination is said to be well on the way to creating herd immunity? 

Well consider Canada: with a current, seven-day, mean daily death toll of 49, Covid is killing 1.33 people per million of population per day, or about two-thirds of India's current rate. 

So, yes, in India, Covid is bringing forward some deaths, mainly among the old and frail. However, the impact of Covid in India, where yearly healthcare expenditures average around US$22 per person, is scarcely more catastrophic at its current peak than in post-peak-Covid Canada, a wealthy Western nation with yearly healthcare expenditures of around six thousand US dollars per person.

Postscript:

After posting the above I tuned into the BBC's World Service from London to hear a most extraordinary report from New Delhi, India, in which a journalist reported smoking funeral pyres to be seen in every direction, of rows of dead bodies awaiting cremation, and in general scenes reminiscent of Hell. 

How to explain the discrepancy between the numbers and the radio report?

Well apparently the national numbers that I cited above are correct, according to the BBC (see figure below), but as the red line below indicates, the number of cases in the capital city of New Delhi is reported currently to be about four times the national average, and a rate that probably matches New York City during the worst days, in early 2020.

 Zero Hedge, April 25, 2021: Former Arizona police officer-turned conservative political commentator Brandon Tatum unloaded on President Biden and the press for politicizing the Derek Chauvin trial, and insists that so-called 'systemic racism' is simply manufactured by politicians and the media to earn votes and make money.



"I think we're living in the twilight zone," Tatum said of the Chauvin trial. "This conviction, in my personal opinion, did nothing for our country. People are living a lie. I mean this is one police officer, one person in the community, they found him guilty, this was the swiftest justice I've ever seen in my life. The day after the film came out he was arrested. He was tried. 10 hours of deliberation, he was convicted. I'm not really sure why people are acting like this is monumental.

"Also, he did not get a fair trial in my personal opinion. There was a lot of obstruction that happened. They paid the family out $27 million before the jury could be selected. I mean, they're going to have a case in appeal. I don't know why people are celebrating and I don't know why this is such a big focal point other than - people are making money off of the pain of people in our country."

The BBC host then asked Tatum if he was upset over this "landmark" case?

"This is not a landmark case, this is a political agenda," Tatum shot back.

Is This the End of the Road?

Apparently, I am unable to comment on my own blog.

When attempting to respond to a comment on the previous post I get a blank face icon. 

But it seems I can still create a new post -- or can I? 

Let's see. 

If I can, here's a response to a comment concerning immigration from "Unknown" on the previous post:

As for population, the policy of Canada and other Western nations is evidently to drive the fertility of the native population well below replacement by the promotion of abortion, pornography, and easy divorce, while indoctrinating the young with the belief that the only sexual vice is reproduction. 

The reproductive deficit is then being more than made up for by mass immigration from high fertility nations, particularly of the Indian subcontinent and sub-Saharan Africa, which further suppresses native fertility through intensified competition for educational opportunities, jobs, and housing.

This can only be explained as a deliberate policy of national genocide, opposition to which is viciously punished as racism.

As for Covid, God only knows what that's about and even God may not know. But what we do know is that the response has been grotesquely inappropriate to the magnitude of the threat that Covid represents. 

In particular, we now know that 78% of Covid hospitalizations in the US have been of people either overweight or obese. As the vast majority of Covid deaths have been of the very old and frail, we can assume that virtually all of the remaining 22% of US Covid hospitalizations were among the very old and frail.  

Therefore, it is clear that the only appropriate governmental response to Covid would have been to advise the overweight and the old to take care until the epidemic has passed and, in particular, avoid contact with the young and socially active who are the main vectors of the disease. If necessary, government could have given financial or other assistance to those deeming it necessary to self-isolate for their own protection.

As for the insanely over-the-top Covid response of most Western governments, the only morally justifiable reason we can think of is that it has been a trial of the response to an outbreak of biological warfare. But we invite other suggestions.

Canada's Dopey Carbon Tax

Canada's Liberal Government has imposed a sharply rising tax on atmospheric carbon emissions.

Canada's Conservative Party wants the same thing by another name. 

Both schemes are idiotic. 

Here's why:

(a) With less than half of one percent of the World's population, Canada acting alone, has no significant global impact.

(b) By imposing a carbon tax unilaterally, Canada shoots itself in the foot by putting Canadian industry at a disadvantage in the competition with producers in countries without a carbon tax, e.g., the United States, Canada's largest trade partner, and China, the World's largest industrial economy.

What to do?

Canada should seek agreement with its Free Trade Area (CUSMA) partners for a unified carbon tax with a countervailing duty on imports from countries without a carbon tax.

That way Canada avoids screwing itself, while creating an incentive (avoidance of the countervailing carbon emissions import tax) for all major industrial nations without a carbon tax to impose one.

So to drive Covid deaths to virtually zero, it was necessary only to warn the overweight and elderly to take care, avoid crowds, especially of the young and socially active, and let everyone else get on with their lives.

But the opportunity to subject the population to tyrannical control while driving national debt to World War levels through multiple profitable boondoggles for their friends, was too great for any democratic government to resist.

I was planning to publish a roundup today of the many thoughtful responses to Paul Rossi’s essay. I’m going to save that post for Sunday, because I was just sent this letter that has my jaw on the floor. It was written by a Brearley parent named Andrew Gutmann.

If you don’t know about Brearley, it’s a private all-girls school on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. It costs $54,000 a year and prospective families apparently have to take an “anti-racism pledge” to be considered for admission. (In the course of my reporting for this piece I spoke to a few Brearley parents.)

Gutmann chose to pull his daughter, who has been in the school since kindergarten, and sent this missive to all 600 or so families in the school earlier this week. Among the lines:

If Brearley’s administration was truly concerned about so-called “equity,” it would be discussing the cessation of admissions preferences for legacies, siblings, and those families with especially deep pockets. If the administration was genuinely serious about “diversity,” it would not insist on the indoctrination of its students, and their families, to a single mindset, most reminiscent of the Chinese Cultural Revolution.
