But it seems I can still create a new post -- or can I?
Let's see.
If I can, here's a response to a comment concerning immigration from "Unknown" on the previous post:
As for population, the policy of Canada and other Western nations is evidently to drive the fertility of the native population well below replacement by the promotion of abortion, pornography, and easy divorce, while indoctrinating the young with the belief that the only sexual vice is reproduction.
The reproductive deficit is then being more than made up for by mass immigration from high fertility nations, particularly of the Indian subcontinent and sub-Saharan Africa, which further suppresses native fertility through intensified competition for educational opportunities, jobs, and housing.
This can only be explained as a deliberate policy of national genocide, opposition to which is viciously punished as racism.
As for Covid, God only knows what that's about and even God may not know. But what we do know is that the response has been grotesquely inappropriate to the magnitude of the threat that Covid represents.
In particular, we now know that 78% of Covid hospitalizations in the US have been of people either overweight or obese. As the vast majority of Covid deaths have been of the very old and frail, we can assume that virtually all of the remaining 22% of US Covid hospitalizations were among the very old and frail.
Therefore, it is clear that the only appropriate governmental response to Covid would have been to advise the overweight and the old to take care until the epidemic has passed and, in particular, avoid contact with the young and socially active who are the main vectors of the disease. If necessary, government could have given financial or other assistance to those deeming it necessary to self-isolate for their own protection.
As for the insanely over-the-top Covid response of most Western governments, the only morally justifiable reason we can think of is that it has been a trial of the response to an outbreak of biological warfare. But we invite other suggestions.

DeleteI've sometimes have comments disappear here. No big deal, but I'm in the habit of copying long comments for re-posting here and on other sites.
ReplyDeleteI also always appear here as "unknown". I would be happy to have a more personalized signature, but blogger seems to tie me to by google account, and then to "unknown".
OK, this time I commented under a handle, but in the past the only option was via Google account. The software may have updated. You can comment under a name if you are willing to got through the prove you are not a robot drill. There is also an anonymous option.
