Americans Neither Believe Their Own Government Nor Support Its Violent Intentions

WaPo, August 26, 2013 New poll: Syria intervention even less popular than Congress

A new Reuters/Ipsos poll has finally found something that Americans like even less than Congress: the possibility of U.S. military intervention in Syria. Only 9 percent of respondents said that the Obama administration should intervene militarily in Syria; a RealClearPolitics poll average finds Congress has a 15 percent approval rating, making the country’s most hated political body almost twice as popular.

The Reuters/Ipsos poll was taken Aug.19-23, the very same week that horrific reports emerged strongly suggesting that Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad has used chemical weapons against his own people, potentially killing hundreds or even thousands of civilians. If there were ever a time that Americans would support some sort of action, you’d think this would be it. But this is the lowest support for intervention since the poll began tracking opinion on the issue. The survey also found that 60 percent oppose intervention outright, with the rest, perhaps sagely, saying that they don’t know.
Politico, August 26, 2013: Kerry Prepares the Way for US to Launch Shock and Awe Against Syria

Nato to the rescue in Libya
Setting the stage for eventual military intervention, Kerry said in a statement from the State Department that what is happening on the ground in Syria “is real and it is compelling” and requires a response from the international community. Attacks on civilians by Bashar Assad’s regime are, he said, “a moral obscenity” that “should shock the conscience of the world.”

“Make no mistake: President Obama believes there must be accountability for those who would use the world’s most heinous weapons against the world’s most vulnerable people. Nothing today is more serious, and nothing is receiving more serious scrutiny,” Kerry later added.
Trouble for the Obama administration is that the US has cried wolf too often:
How our friends in Egypt deal with an unruly crowd. Kerry silent.

So now why would Americans believe their own lying government when it claims WMD use by Syria in the face of evidence that the incident, if any, was fabricated by agencies of the US Government?

It is now obvious to anyone familiar with international events of the last few years that the United States is the World's bastion of terror, deployed overseas against governments that refuse submission to US hegemomy, and at home to intimidate domestic critics and opponents.

The US is now the Evil Empire. And if the American empire fails, so what? The nation state is the only institution that resists the imperial will. Thus the American Empire, like all empires, seeks the genocide of all independent nations within its orbit. The US is the driver of globalization that undermines the prosperity of the Western nations, while destroying their culture and racial identity through mass immigration. The Western nations, including America herself, would be well rid of the US as the global hegemon, bully, liar and fount of terror both domestic and foreign.

For once I find myself in complete agreement with Craig Murray who makes the logical, moral and political case for not intervening with cruise missiles in the Syrian civil war with absolute clarity and simplicity. Telegraph: Former Archbishop: Intervention in Syria Would Spark General War

With reference to the former Archbishop's comments, it should be understand that a general war is something that US/Israel now urgently desires.

Great wars occur when a great power declines but resists giving place to others. The US is a fast declining power. Its industrial base has been massively hollowed out by globalization, its GDP and standard of living are falling, its educational standards increasingly a joke. Meantime Russia has rebuilt its military base, while China's economy on any rational basis of measurement has overtaken that of the US. With five times America's population, the largest industrial base in the world and a large and rapidly growing R&D sector, China will soon emerge as a global superpower. Hence the drive by US/Israel and their NATO puppets to conquer the ME while the possibility still remains, the hope being that by gaining absolute control over the World's largest energy reserves they can retain global dominance, and with it the means to impose the globalist agenda of the money power.

The globalist agenda means destruction of the nation states, including not only US/Israel's Nato puppets but America itself and the transfer of national authority to a collective of globalist institutions such as the UN, EU, NATO, NAFTA, etc., which will be subordinate to the money power, and thus give rise to a global plutocratic system or neo-feudalism, under which the vast mass of mankind will live or die at the whim of the very rich as a mind-controlled slave class.

Those looking for "A Moral Obscenity" now have it.

I am willing to define the term as follows: A pre-ordained war, on inconclusive evidence, with only 9% support (24% even IF chemicals were used by Assad).
Robert Fisk: Obama Prepares for War in Alliance With Al-Quaeda
.... There will be some ironies, of course. While the Americans drone al-Qa’ida to death in Yemen and Pakistan – along, of course, with the usual flock of civilians – they will be giving them, with the help of Messrs Cameron, Hollande and the other Little General-politicians, material assistance in Syria by hitting al-Qa’ida’s enemies. Indeed, you can bet your bottom dollar that the one target the Americans will not strike in Syria will be al-Qa’ida or the Nusra front.

And our own Prime Minister will applaud whatever the Americans do, thus allying himself with al-Qa’ida, whose London bombings may have slipped his mind. Perhaps – since there is no institutional memory left among modern governments – Cameron has forgotten how similar are the sentiments being uttered by Obama and himself to those uttered by Bush and Blair a decade ago, the same bland assurances, uttered with such self-confidence but without quite enough evidence to make it stick.

In Iraq, we went to war on the basis of lies originally uttered by fakers and conmen. Now it’s war by YouTube.

Pat Buchanan: Congress should veto Obama's war
[W]ho deputized the United States to walk the streets of the world pistol-whipping bad actors? Where does our imperial president come off drawing “red lines” and ordering nations not to cross them?

Neither the Security Council nor Congress nor NATO nor the Arab League has authorized war on Syria.

Who made Barack Obama the Wyatt Earp of the Global Village?

Moreover, where is the evidence that WMDs were used and that it had to be Assad who ordered them? Such an attack makes no sense.

Firing a few shells of gas at Syrian civilians was not going to advance Assad’s cause but, rather, was certain to bring universal condemnation on his regime and deal cards to the War Party, which wants a U.S. war on Syria as the back door to war on Iran.

Think about 911, or better still the WMD's-in-Iraq bullshit. At the time not so many realised it was fake and the audience for those who wrote about it was very small. Besides which, the timeframe between WMD lies and WMD truth was very long. Time is very useful for confusion and forgetting.

But things are really different now. ...

How Globalization Shrinks the Economy

Globalization provides great profit opportunities for global corporations, one being through wage arbitrage, which is to say the substitution of cheap Third World labor for expensive western labor. A consequence of such labor substitution now becoming abundantly clear is a reduction in Western living standards: globalization has increased rates of unemployment, underemployment and workforce abandonment throughout the West, while lowering wages and destroying the power of unionized labor.

Loss in the West of manufacturing jobs and jobs in internationally tradable services such as engineering, biotech, drug research, and software has reduced Western investment in plant and equipment leading to further reductions in demand for Western labor and thus in Western living standards, not to mention morale and workforce skills.

What is bad for the worker is inevitably bad for the consumer economy. Massively increased debt such as we now see in the West can compensate only so far for lower wages, and once the limit on adjustment to declining income through increased debt is reached the burden of servicing the increased debt further reduces consumption.

With declining spending power, consumers compensate by purchasing cheaper stuff, which means substituting for whatever is still made domestically stuff, often of greatly inferior quality, made in Third-World sweatshops — did you ever notice how WalMart and other stores specializing in cheap Third World merchandise have a peculiar cheap-trash smell? I guess it's all the outgassing plastics and synthetic fabrics.

The result of forcing consumers to depend increasingly on imported goods adds a further turn of the screw on the domestic labor market, driving incomes and thus consumption down another notch.

In the West, where consumer spending accounts for 70% or more of GDP, declining consumption must mean economic contraction. Economic contraction is bad news for the ruling elite, since the public judge the performance of any government primarily according to their standard of living.

But not to worry. The public are sufficiently deluded by the economic drivel supplied by the media to believe that the economic consequences of government action are faithfully measured by a metric known as the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). But GDP is a wonderfully meaningless statistic, being simply a measure of all expenditures, including not only expenditures for useful goods and services plus investments in desirable things like homes, schools and hospitals for ourselves and our children, but all the ludicrous things on which Western governments  dispose of half the national income.

For example, subsidies for alternative energy that enrich various among the undeserving friends of government, including Prime Minister David Cameron's father-in-law who nets a cool thousand quid a day leasing land for useless windmills. (Solar power is another popular target of unproductive government spending.) Such programs add to the GDP, while diminishing the wealth of the nation. Among such dysfunctional expenditures must be included public education, now chiefly a conduit for state propaganda, and public healthcare, which may  kill as many as it cures.

More significant, though, are expenditures for national security, i.e., intimidation of the public through measures to counter non-existent terrorists. US Homeland security, for example, has purchased enough hollow-point bullets to shoot every American five times over, which suggests either a huge waste of money or a nasty plot to shoot every American with hollow-point bullets five times over. In either case, the outcome can hardly be considered an addition to national wealth, yet the cost has undoubtedly been included in the calculation of US GDP. Meantime, the Brits lavish billions watching one another by means of millions of CCTV cameras, to no obvious economic advantage.

And then there's the wars against people without a chance against high explosives delivered from the air. These have limitless potential for jacking up GDP as fast as the central bank can print the currency. And the inflationary effect combined with a phony CPI deflator is enough, all on its own, to create the illusion of economic growth.

And most importantly, there's mass immigration, of which the liberals who dominate the Western political debate cannot have enough. Immigrants create additional economic demand and thus bump up output, but this is not output for ourselves and our children. No, this is output created by and for those foreigners with whom Western rulers have opted to make their own people share the country. Mostly immigrants are young adults and their children. They thus create a huge demand for new infrastructure: maternity wards, schools, roads, houses, sewers, power generation, universities, recreational facilities.

Mass immigration is thus ideal for boosting demand in an economy being hollowed out by globalization. The cost of all the additional infrastructure necessitated by the resultant population boom props up a sagging GDP. And the joke is that the cost of this additional "GDP" is borne by the taxpayer who is thus forced to subsidize the people who have come to take his job, obliterate his culture and drive sky high the price his kids will have to pay if they want a home of their own.

How Mr. Bezos's Newspaper Censors Its Own Front Page Story

Vanessa Pham
CCC, August 11, 2013: Amidst a national debate about a potential amnesty for millions of undocumented immigrants, the Washington Post featured a front page story about the prime suspect accused of carrying out a sickening murder, but refused to mention the fact that he was an illegal alien.

The article concerned pretrial filings in the 2010 killing of Falls Church teen Vanessa Pham. ...

The Washington Post is the property of Amazon founder and multi-billionaire Jeff Bezos.

Bezos  is one of the world’s richest men. He has agreed to pay $250 million in cash for The Post and affiliated publications to the Washington Post Co., which owns the newspaper and other businesses, which raises the question: Is anyone rich enough to buy a newspaper a fit person to own one?

No doubt most of the public is sufficiently brainwashed by the media to think that a billionaire is the ideal person to control a major organ of what used to be known, laughably, as the "free" press.

Yet Amazon, founded by Bezos, ranks among the biggest spenders among high-technology companies seeking to influence the work of the federal government. According to Bloomberg
They have a huge number of issues before the federal government and now he’s bought the hometown paper for covering those politicians,” said Bill Allison, editorial director for the Sunlight Foundation, a Washington-based watchdog group. “There’s always a concern you’re going to have a conflict when you have wealthy publisher. Given all of Amazon’s issues, it’s hard to see where Bezos won’t have a conflict.
All of which suggests that WaPo's line on illegal immigration or anything else will be determined strictly according to the financial implications for the newspaper's owner and of the businesses he controls.

Stephen Harper, Obarmy's Anti-Russian Mouthpiece

At the June G8 summit in Northern Ireland Harper said:
This is G7 plus one.
The one being Russia, who, Harper said, was supporting the thugs of the Assad regime.

What Harper didn't say, naturally, was that the "thugs of the Assad regime" were being supported by Russia against Al Qaeda-dominated rebel forces.  Yes, that's right, the Al Qaeda that supposedly brought down the Twin Towers and provided the US the justification required for invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.

Now Harper's sounding off on Russia's "anti-gay law." Speaking in Miramichi, N.B., the Prime Minister said:
Canadians expect his government to defend human rights
Which may be so. Although is it, really?

Do Canadians expect their government to go round the World like Sir Galahad on a white charger righting all wrongs at whatever cost in blood and treasure?

Maybe not.

Perhaps Canadians agree with David Henry Thoreau who said it is not possible to prevent all the evil in the World.

In which case, perhaps Canadians think that the government of Canada should stick to promoting human rights in Canada and leave the internal affairs of Russia to the Russians. Stephen Harper might, for example, make some effort to resolve Indian land claims, an issue concerning human rights if ever there was one.

But still if the crimes against humanity are grave enough, perhaps we have to stand up for the poor oppressed Russians.

So what, exactly, did Harper have to say?
Canada is not a country where people are jailed or killed for their political positions or for engagin in certain consensual acts between adults.
Well, hey, what's going on. Are the Russians really jailing and killing queers?

Well, actually, no, according to Pravda:
The first point is to get things straight regarding the legal framework covering all citizens in Russia. The age of consent in Russia is 16 years of age, regardless of sexual orientation; transsexuals and transgender persons are allowed to change their legal gender, homosexuality is not regarded as a mental illness and it is not a criminal offence under Russian law; single persons can adopt children whatever their sexual orientation, while homosexuals can serve in the armed forces without any type of restriction.

Secondly, let us examine the law in question that was passed recently by 436 votes in favour and zero against with one abstention by Russia's DUMA, or Parliament: it is a law which bans the propagation of non-traditional sexual activities among minors. In other words, it is a law which prohibits the distribution or dissemination of homosexual acts, among children.

So, suppose those who are making this bru-ha-ha about the Winter Olympics and are talking of boycotting them, considered how they would feel if someone showed graphic images of same-gender sexual activities to their children? One can only consider that they would stand back and applaud?

The third point in question here is that of cultural values and respect for these in context. Russian society today stands solidly behind traditional family values, and as a rule Russian society today does not understand, or condone, same-sex marriage or unions. Period. It is not for the west to complain about it, any more than it is up to the average Russian citizen to launch a campaign against London because it is still illegal today to run or sing in the Burlingdon Arcade between Piccadilly and Cork Street.
Now Pravda may be full of lies, as it always used to be when the Soviet press was about as truthful as the New York Times is today, but what is stated above is confirmed by the Toronto Star, specifically that the Russian law is aimed at preventing homosexual recruitment among children.

Thus, the Star reports:
...fines can now be imposed on those who provide information about the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community to minors or hold gay pride rallies
Which is something quite different from jailing and killing queers, and indicates that Stephen Harper was engaging in ridiculous lying propaganda reminiscent of the Cold War rhetoric spewed by the heads of the more trivial satellites of the Soviet Union.

And the reason for Harper's Russo-phobic hate speech is not hard to understand. Harper wants concessions from the US on oil pipelines and other issues and the Russians are deeply displeasing to America, the global hegemon.

The Russians perversely insist on family friendly policies with the aim of rebuilding a population badly depleted by a murderous Communist tyranny, decimated by the Nazi's during WW2 and severely reduced, after the fall of the Soviet Union, by an economic liberalization policy devised by Harvard Neocons, which  led to the premature death of millions.

Worse, the Russians won't open their borders to mass migration. They want to keep Russia Russian for God's sake, the filthy racists.

How can the nations of the Earth be reduced to a mongrelized mass ripe for enslavement by the global plutocracy if those Russian bastards won't commit to national self genocide?

The (Toronto) Globe and Mail (aka the Toronto Gay Male), in its coverage of Harper's attack naturally makes no attempt to expose the facts of the case that make a mockery of Harper's statement.

No wonder newspaper sales are falling. The Globe and Mail should consider Jon Rappoport's suggestion on how to revive the business: "Try telling the truth."

"The youth jobless rate in Greece has just reached 64.9pc.

... Europe has needlessly pushed the whole EMU bloc into a deep double-dip recession, and the longest unbroken contraction since World War Two.
If the EU must maintain a monetary union over a hugely diverse economic zone with limited labor mobility due to language and cultural differences, then a mechanism is required for adjusting wages to maintain an equality of regional competitiveness.

Such a mechanism would be provided by periodic adjustment of all wages, salaries and bonuses on a national or regional basis according to national or regional unemployment rates.

Greece, with a 64% youth unemployment rate evidently needs something like a 50% across-the-board wage cut. The more competitive Germans, and some others, need an across-the-board pay raise to reduce their competitiveness to that of the EMU mean.

Variation in the value of the Euro relative to that of the US dollar, the renminbi, etc., would then adjust the competitiveness of all nations within the Eurozone relative to the rest of the world, thereby insuring low unemployment across Europe.

Daily Mail: Dawkins Ridicules Muslim Intellectual Achievement Since the Dark Ages
Odd, really, for an evolutionary biologist to value a social system for its capacity for intellectual innovation, rather than its capacity to ensure the survival of those who live by it.

From an evolutionary perspective, Britain's post-Darwinian atheistic, materialistic belief system has been a disaster that has led to policies of self-genocide through the destruction of the family and the promotion of mass immigration. Islamic societies, in contrast, continue to expand in population both internally and beyond their own borders.

A further disastrous development during Britain's post-Christian era has been the transformation of public education from a meritocratic ladder for the advancement of the most intellectually able, to a system whose primary function is politically correct indoctrination, with inevitably, catastrophic consequences for real education in Britain.

In this connection, it is interesting to note that Since Walter Gilbert won a Nobel Prize in 1980, only one indigenous Briton affiliated with Trinity College, Cambridge, England's premier center of scientific research, has won a Nobel Prize in a real science (Dawkins's criterion of intellectual merit). Other Trinity scholars to win a Nobel science prize since 1980 are among the fine non-indigenously British people who now increasingly occupy the main places of power and privilege in Britain's multi-culti, mass-immigration society. For example, Sir Aaron Klug, Subramanyan Chandrasekhar, and Venkatraman Ramakrishnan.

The best hope the English have of surviving as a racial/biological entity may be to convert on mass to Islam. At least then they would be rid of their pro-porn, pro-homosexual, anti-family, anti-reproductive ideology promoted by the likes of Richard Dawkins.
David Lindorff: AG Holder promises Russia That the US will Not Torture US Citizen Edward Snowden
Why does the United States, a country supposedly committed to the rule of law, promise not to torture one of its own citizens when torture is explicitly prohibited by the Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution?

Obviously because it is has no commitment to the rule of law and is seen by the World to have no commitment to the rule of law, and thus has been led to the humiliating expedient of promising, in order to get their hands on Edward Snowden, not to torture him.

What makes the incident doubly humiliating to the United States is that their demand that Russia extradite Edward Snowden was rejected, quite reasonably, since as David Lindorff relates, abusive treatment amounting to torture is precisely how the United States Government dealt with Bradley Manning, who has been convicted of crimes similar to those with which Snowden has been accused.

Real wages have fallen in 36 of the 37 months since David Cameron became prime minister, according to new data. The figures suggest the average worker will have lost the equivalent of £6,660 in that period.

No, folks, this is all very surprising. It could never have been predicted. Heck, not a single Nobel Economics prize winner predicted it.

But, hey, look on the bright side: corporate profits are up, for as David Ricardo said long ago, "wages and profits, together, are always the same," or more directly, wages down, means profits up — as a matter of logical necessity.

Makes the point that the preservation of human diversity, racial, cultural or religious, depends on separate development.

Liberals and lefties who claim to love diversity in fact seek to destroy it by flooding Europe with people from throughout the world to create a mongrelized population resembling that of the global hegemon, the USA. In the process they are destroying the unique racial, religious and cultural features of England and every other European nation state: that is genocide.

Rather feebly, the speaker talks of the destruction of British culture, while failing to mention the wholesale elimination of the English from their great industrial cities such as London, Luton, Leicester and Slough, where they are now a minority in their own home, with Birmingham soon to follow, and England as a whole within a generation.

A Carbon Tax: The Intelligent Way to Limit Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Sixteen years ago, I predicted the failure of the Kyoto agreement as a means to prevent atmospheric accumulation of greenhouse gases, and advocated a revenue-neutral carbon tax  combined with a countervailing duty on imports from countries without a carbon tax.

A revenue-neutral carbon tax  was subsequently made an explicit principle of fiscal management by the Canadian Green Party under the slogan: tax what we don't want, e.g., pollution, don't tax what we do want, e.g., income.

A few years later, the Green Party policy was implemented by a Liberal government in my home province of British Columbia, which became the first political jurisdiction in the world to impose a revenue-neutral carbon tax.

The outcome was precisely as anticipated, not only as reported by the Province of British Columbia, but as concluded in a recent report by the independent Ottawa-based think tank, Sustainable Prosperity, which states, in summary:
The evidence from the past four years shows that BC sales of fuels subject to the tax have been dropping – in fact, the average British Columbian’s consumption of them has dropped 15.1% since 2008, while the rest of Canada’s per capita sales have increased by 1.3%. Over the same period, economic growth per capita has been consistent with growth in the rest of Canada. So far, the tax seems to have had a positive environmental impact without harming the economy.
Encouragingly, business leaders across Canada, including the Council of Canadian Chief Executives, have endorsed a national carbon pricing scheme, hoping, so the Globe and Mail reports, to avoid a balkanized system of climate regulation across Canada.

Such simplicity, is naturally anathema to politicians who know full well that imposing a national carbon tax will antagonize some among  the most powerful Canadian and international financial and industrial interests. It is unlikely, therefore, that we will see implementation of a cross-Canada carbon tax in the immediate future.

It is, nevertheless, encouraging that the leadership of the business community is thinking both clearly and responsibly about how we can most cheaply and effectively reverse the current anthropogenic transformation in the chemical composition of our atmosphere. Surely the political class will be unable to hold out indefinitely against not only the interest of humanity but of all enlightened business thinking.

Congress to Probe Fate of US Navy Seal Team 6

The Hill, July 24, 2013: Congress has launched an investigation of the helicopter crash that killed 30 Americans in Afghanistan, including members of the Navy’s elite SEAL Team 6 unit, The Hill has learned.

The victims’ families say the Pentagon hasn’t provided answers to their many questions about the deadly attack, which took place on Aug. 6, 2011, three months after Osama bin Laden was killed in Pakistan by Team 6 forces.

... Charlie Strange, whose son Michael was among those killed, said he asked President Obama two years ago at Dover Air Force Base to fully investigate. The death toll in the crash was the largest of any single incident for the U.S. military during the Afghanistan war.

Obama praised Michael’s service to Strange, who responded, “I don’t need to know about my son. I need to know what happened to my son.”

The president promised he would investigate, Strange said, but he never heard back from the White House. The Pentagon, meanwhile, has provided him and others with incomplete and contradictory information, he said.

Administration leaks that emerged after the bin Laden raid prompted members of Team 6 to worry about their safety.

For example, Michael Strange told his father he was working on a will before he returned to Afghanistan in the summer of 2011, his father said.

... a Department of Defense official disputed claims that there was an "ambush."

... Yet, Strange says insurgents were boasting on the Internet they had taken out Team 6 shortly after the helicopter crashed.

Shortly before the CH-47 Chinook helicopter took off on a rescue mission (operation Extortion 17), seven Afghan commandos who were on the passenger list were replaced by other Afghan military officials.

... In the transcript related to the Pentagon’s probe, a Defense official confirmed that all seven names of the Afghan soldiers were incorrect.

... Among the dead were 30 Americans, including 22 Navy SEALS, seven Afghan soldiers and one Afghan translator. Their bodies were later recovered, but the helicopter’s black box was not. Pentagon officials have said that it could not be recovered, citing a flash flood that happened soon after the assault.

All the bodies were cremated. The Pentagon has defended the cremation to the soldiers’ families, saying the bodies were badly burned.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform subcommittee on National Security, however, said he has seen a photo of a deceased SEAL that was not [badly burned].

... During a ceremony at Bagram Air Base for the 38 killed, the deceased Afghan soldiers were loaded onto planes with the bodies of the U.S. forces. An imam spoke an Islamic prayer that included language on U.S. soldiers burning in hell.

Justice for Trayvon: Obama's Campaign for Race Hatred

The Faculty Lounge: What Do Zimmerman’s Calls to Police Show About His View of Black Men?
If he would publicly debate Michelle Meyer, the author of this piece, we'd know for sure whether Obarmy is a stupid fuck or a lying cunt.

But we know the President of the United States is not stupid, therefore ...

Michelle Meyer, tries to finesse this point by suggesting that if Obama is peddling a totally warped account of the Trayvon Martin killing it is because he is looking at it from a different perspective than other people.

That's all very charitable but total bunk such as to be expected from an academic with security of tenure to think about. The truth is that the President of the United States does not provoke racial antagonism merely as the result of a weird personal perspective, which means folks should be asking themselves what the Nobel Piss Prize winner is aiming at.

The US is undergoing a wrenching transition from a land of opportunity to a country of widespread unemployment and underemployment, diminishing opportunity, declining incomes and much outright poverty.

Racial conflict will certainly help take the heat off a government whose globalist agenda serves the money power, not the people in whose name the government supposedly rules.

Meantime, the majority racial group in America, the Europeans who made America a great nation under constitutional rule, are to be displaced through mass immigration:
Today, largely because of immigration, there is no majority race in Hawaii or Houston or New York City. Within five years, there will be no majority race in our largest state, California. In a little more than 50 years, there will be no majority race in the United States. No other nation in history has gone through demographic change of this magnitude in so short a time … [These immigrants] are energizing our culture and broadening our vision of the world. They are renewing our most basic values and reminding us all of what it truly means to be American.

Bill Clinton Commencement Address at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon June 13, 1998
Some Americans of European extraction aren't terrifically thrilled to see the country that their forebears built taken over by the Third World. So forcing a load of guilt down their throats is just the thing to keep them off-balance and demoralized.

A fifty year old white man was brutally beaten with a hammer by two black males. A witness saw the attack and called police. The victim’s injuries were severe and he was left with serious permanent damage. It was probably the intent of the suspects to kill him. The suspects are Julius Bender and Yahaziel Israel. When this horrific incident took place it only received a small blip in the news. The Orlando Sentinel censored the race of the victim even though it was in the police report. ...

At the time of the attack, Trayvon Martin was local news in every market in the entire United States. Yet all this man got was a small censored blurb in the local daily. ....

... one of the suspects has a Hebrew name. His father is the local leader of a murderous anti-white religious cult. They call themselves the true Hebrews and believe they are preparing for a race war with white people. The group is called “Nation of Yahweh” and it is run by the notorious cult leader Yahweh Ben Yahweh. Members of the group have been convicted of crimes for their roles in fourteen murders and two attempted murders. Watchdogs believe that the cult is responsible for even more. The group’s leader served eleven years for his role in the murders. Yahaziel’s sister also has a Hebrew name, suggesting that his father raised them in the murderous cult. ...

Former US President, Jimmy Carter: "America has no functioning democracy"

The following are edited excerpts from Google.Translate's English version of Der Speigel's report. The original article in German is available here.

On Tuesday, while attending a meeting of the "Atlantic Bridge," Former US President Jimmy Carter said, with reference to recent revelations about US National Security Agency spying on US citizens and allies alike, "America has no functioning democracy now."

Previously, the Democrat had been very critical of the practices of U.S. intelligence. "I think the invasion of privacy has gone too far," Carter told CNN. He also stated that the revelations of whistleblower Edward Snowden were "likely to be useful because they inform the public."

Carter has repeatedly warned that the United States has sharply declined in moral authority due to excessive restriction of civil rights.

Carter was the 39th President of the United States, holding office from 1977 to 1981. During his tenure, he tried to align U.S. foreign policy to better serve human rights. After his retirement from active politics he received the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize for his humanitarian work.

The President lamented the growing political divide in the United States, the excessive influence of money in U.S. election campaigns and the confusing American election rules.

Carter spoke of the triumphs of modern technology that had brought democratic progress to countries of the Arab Spring, but noted that these developments are endangered by the NSA spying scandal causing major U.S. Internet platforms such as Google and Facebook to lose credibility worldwide.

Facebook: A Place to Advocate Politically Correct Riot and Murder

Examiner.com, July 3, 2013: On Wednesday, the Daily Caller's Michelle Fields wrote on her blog that while Facebook banned Fox News' Todd Starnes for a politically incorrect post, it has allowed the existence and growth of pages calling for the death of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer on trial for the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. At least one page called for rioting in the name of the young black man shot by Zimmerman last year.

A search of Facebook found two pages named "George Zimmerman must die." The only difference between the pages is the word "die," which is spelled "DIE" on one page.

The search also revealed a page called "Kill Zimmerman" and a closed group named "Kill george zimmerman bitch a*z." As of this writing, the group had 13 members.

Fred: Zimmerman, The Joy of Hopelessness

The Zimmerman affair warms the cockles of a curmudgeon´s heart. (I´m not sure what a cockle is, but I want mine to be at the right temperature.) Never have I seen such sprawling, cacophonous, indignant ignorance and frightful stupidity as that being exhibited by the American public. We are doomed. I am delighted. Curmudgeons love doom.

Has there ever been such focused inattention as the case has produced? Nothing of importance is noticed, and everything lacking it is. The crucial fact to come out of the whole adventure—crucial, and therefore utterly overlooked--was that Rachel Jeantel, a prosecution witness and black girl aged nineteen years, can´t read. The grim implication of this fact is confirmed by the illiteracy of tweets from blacks regarding the case. “Ima kill dat dumass cracker be racis.” Here we see as neatly displayed as if in a jewelry box why so many young blacks will go nowhere in the remaining fifty years of their lives. They can´t read, or barely can. In a fading techno-industrial civilization—I use the latter word frivolously—this consigns them to a life on charity. Is this not of more note than who started what?

No. The educational disaster that will leave Rachel and millions of her confreres in meaningless lives on welfare pales in importance compared to the question: Did Trayvon Martin and Zimmerman have the proper racial attitudes? This is what exercises the vast endocrine boobitry howling with empty-headed rage and self-righteousness.

Of course racism was involved in the shooting. The prosecution established this beyond doubt. Trayvon referred to Zimmerman as a “creepy-ass cracker,” “cracker” being a highly pejorative term for low-class whites living in decaying trailers in the pine barrens and Everglades of Florida. So Trayvon, a racist, didn´t like white people. So what? Most blacks don´t.

A measure of the limitless hypocrisy that pervades, that almost constitutes American political life is that Travon´s clear racial hostility—“creepy-ass cracker”—is ignored. Only whites can exhibit racial antagonism. Yet perhaps twice a week on the Drudge Report one encounters cell-phone video of young blacks seriously beating whites because they are white. Here you have to understand that racial attacks are not racial. The local police chief invariably says that race wasn´t involved, when in fact nothing else was, and the papers will speak of “teens.”

Econ 101 is killing America

By Robert Atkinson and Robert Lind

Salon, July 8, 2013: In the Middle Ages, people looked to the Church for certainty. In today’s complex, market-based economies, they look to the field of economics, at least for answers to questions concerning the economy. And unlike some disciplines, which acknowledge that there’s a huge gap between the scholarly knowledge and policy advice, economists have been anything but shy about asserting their authority.

As we can see from the current dismal state of economic affairs, economies are incredibly complex systems, and policymakers who are forced to act in the face of this uncertainty and complexity want guidance. And over the last half century, neoclassical economists have not only been more than happy to offer it, but largely been able to marginalize any other disciplines or approaches, giving them a virtual monopoly on economic policy advice.

But there are two big problems with this. First, despite economists’ calming assurances, we still know little about how economies actually work and the effect of policies. If we did, then economists should have sounded the alarm bells to head off the financial collapse and Great Recession. But even more problematic, even though most economists know better, they present to the public, the media and politicians a simplified, vulgar version of neoclassical economics — what can be called Econ 101 — that leads policymakers astray. Economists fear that if they really expose policymakers to all the contradictions, uncertainties and complications of “Advanced Econ,” the latter will go off track — embracing protectionism, heavy-handed “industrial policy” or even socialism. In fact, the myths of Econ 101 already lead policymakers dangerously off track, with tragic results for the economy and everyday Americans.

Myth 1: Economics is a science
The way economists maintain stature in public policy circles is to present their discipline as a science, akin to physics. In Econ 101, there is no uncertainty, only the obvious truths embedded in supply and demand curves. As noted economist Lionel Robbins wrote, “Economics is the science which studies human behavior as a relationship between given ends and scarce means, which have alternative uses.” If economics is actually a science, then policymakers can feel more comfortable following the advice of economists. But if economics is really a science – which implies only one answer to a particular question — why do 40 percent of surveyed economists agree that raising the minimum wage would make it harder for people to get jobs while 40 percent disagree? It’s because as Larry Lindsey, former head of President Bush’s National Economic Council, admitted, “the continuing argument [among economists] is a product of philosophical disagreements about human nature and the role of government and cannot be fully resolved by economists no matter how sound their data.”

These rulings simply corrupt the most basic notion of justice – that it must be seen to be done. The immoral cannot be made moral through the use of secret law.

I believe in the principle declared at Nuremberg in 1945: "Individuals have international duties which transcend the national obligations of obedience. Therefore individual citizens have the duty to violate domestic laws to prevent crimes against peace and humanity from occurring.

The Economic Nonsense of a Globalist Mouthpiece

In one of his more coherent diatribes against my post about the causes of Western economic stagnation, Ron H. quoted me as follows:
What does it take for an economy to grow? More production, obviously.

And what does it take to increase production? More demand, obviously.

And what does it take to increase demand? More income, obviously.
He then adds:
And what does it take to increase income? More production, obviously.

Oops! This looks like a circle.
By which he presumably meant, a causal loop, from which it can be inferred that all is for the best in the best of all possible economic worlds, such that production generates income that creates demand for even more production until the whole "circle" is spinning at the speed of light.

But in a globalizing world economy where technology is transforming the processes of production, distribution and exchange at an ever accelerating pace, there is no obvious connection between production and income. Far from it. When production is off-shored from high-wage, and highly regulated economies to low-wage economies with minimal workplace health and safety standards, income in the country doing the off-shoring declines, even as the profits of the corporations doing the off-shoring increase.

Technology has the same perverse influence on the economy. If the baker and candlestick maker each employs new technology that enables them to reduce the number of their employees, their profits will increase, while consumption declines as their former employees subsist on welfare or die of starvation. Unless, that is, the baker and candlestick maker invest their additional profits in manufacturing, say, washing machines, thereby re-employing the labor the just shed.

But there's nothing automatic about such adjustments. Moreover, the baker and the candlestick maker are in no way compelled to invest in their own country the profits they reap from idling their former employees. Under the current globalization regime, they would most likely invest their spare capital in a factory overseas to exploit cheap foreign labor, importing the product at a price that forces the local competition into bankruptcy and idles more of their own compatriots. And once the demand for labor falls beyond a certain point, capital is in a position to drive wages to the starvation level. This is what we now see in the West. It is the long-delayed verification of a central tenet of Marxist economic analysis.

Workers are now in a position to be shafted. Union power to control the price of labor has been destroyed. The freedom of democratically elected governments to establish national economic policies that protect the interests of their own people has been signed away with institution of the World Trade Organization. Stagnation and decline in consumption and therefore in overall economic output are the necessary consequences. As workers incomes decline output of the economy must decline with it compensated only by increased spending by the managerial and capitalist classes, which although grotesquely extravagant, cannot keep pace with the impoverishment of the masses.

But in Ron H's libertarian Happy Land, the American economy is is a perfectly tuned self-regulating mechanism that automatically maximizes output, thereby assuring all but lazy bums a fine wage. Thus, in Economic Happy Land, welfare or any other governmental intervention in the economy for the greater good is a moral crime against rich people.

In fact, the state of the economy is the result of the independent decisions of millions of individuals and corporations, plus a few monopolistic or oligopolistic entities and the biggest actor of all, the government. To assume that the actions of these participants, each serving their own interest, will automatically lead to the perfectly happy economic outcome where everyone prepared to do an honest day's work will be assured an honest day's pay is utter foolishness promoted by billionaire libertarian mouthpieces such as Ron H only because it serves their masters' interest.

That no one actually believes in the Happy Land free market economic model is evident from the fact that every economic actor, so far as they are able, seeks to promote government regulation of the economy in their own interest.

Giant corporations in the West naturally oppose restrictions on their freedom to move capital, goods and people wherever production is cheapest, prices of end products are highest, wages are lowest, environmental law and workplace health and safety regulations are laxest, and taxes payable are lowest. But at the same time, these "libertarian" corporations insist on the strictest governmental enforcement of their "intellectual property rights" and all of the privileges negotiated on their behalf under international trade agreements. Workers in the West, insofar as their interests are represented in government, which is now rarely, naturally seek precisely those restrictions that capital wishes to eliminate; particularly those that restrict the export of jobs and the capital and technology that goes with those jobs.

The real political issue concerning the economy is not, therefore, to intervene or not to intervene, but whether to intervene in the interests of the money power or of the people. In the West today, the tide of economic influence runs strongly against the people.

Baby Math for a Globalist Groupie: Or, the Average 2011 Earnings of the Lowest Paid 54% of American Wage Earners Really Was Less Than $12,500

Commenting on another post, Ron H says not only am I unable to add up, but that I am a deceptive and dishonest person, which is to say, a liar.

Here I'll deal with both charges.

Here's Ron H on my math:
...the Social Security wage statistics table, doesn't support your claim that 54% of Americans have average earnings of $12,500. Perhaps you meant to write $27,500.
So who's right?

Here is the Social Security Wage Statistics table for 2011 that I cited in my blogpost of July 4.

Let's take it bit by bit, so hopefully everyone may grasp it.

From the first line of the table we see that the twenty-three and a half million lowest paid American wage earners (23,548,858 to be precise) earned $47.5 billion in 2011, or an average of just over two thousand dollars each ($2,019.42, to give it to the penny) .

From the next line of the table we see that the next lowest paid thirteen point eight million Americans earned $102.5 billion in 2011 for an average of $7,400.95 each.

And so on, until we reach a cumulative total of 53.90% of American wage-earners, comprising 81,623,250 individuals, with total earnings in 2011 of one trillion, fifteen billion and some change, or an average per person of $12,400 plus or minus some rounding error. (To get the total income for the lowest-paid 53.9% of wage-earners, you have to add the "Aggregate amount" under the heading "Net compensation" in the first five lines of the table.)

So if anyone is able to reach Ron H's average $27,500 in 2011 as the mean wage for the lowest paid 54% of American wager-earners, I hope they will let me know how.

And Who's the Liar

Now, for the lie, perpetrated by trickery.

"I see" says Ron H that,
you fixed the link in your response to me so that it didn't point directly to the wage statistics table but to a newly created blog post misdated July 4th, so you could dismiss my previous statement about your source.
First, I "fixed" nothing. In response to comments by Ron H on the mean earnings of the lowest paid 54% of American wage-earners I provided a link to my blog post of July 4 — The Wealth of a Hyper-Power.

The allegation that I "misdated" that post is false. Until today, when I did a Google search for how to change a Blogger date stamp (learning in the process how to drop an egg without breaking it), I had no idea that a Blogger date stamp could be changed. But in any case, every date stamp on this blog is the date stamp provided automatically by Blogger and which, so far as I am aware, indicates the actual date on which a post first appeared.

For Ron H, however, there is no question that I lied: "Your dishonesty" he says, "is offensive."

Now that I have categorically denied any deception, it will be interesting to see if Ron H withdraws his remarks and apologizes, as I have requested, for his insulting and false insinuation. Needless to say, until he does, any future remarks he may post here will be deleted automatically, which is to say, as soon as I see them.
