The Price of Humor in Germany: 3600 Euros

Germany's health minister Karl Lauterbach was reported by the newspaper, Die Welt, to have stated:

“The masks always send out a signal”

American playwright and German resident C.J. Hopkins responded with a tweet including this image from the cover of his book showing a scarcely visible swastica:

The German state, justifying in full measure the stereotype of the humorless German, charged and convicted Hopkins of :“disseminating propaganda, the contents of which are intended to further the aims of a former National Socialist organization.”

The punishment?

60 days in jail or 3,600 euros.

At least one can take comfort from the fact that today, as in the days of Hitler, the German bad guys are dumb as Hell.

A study of university students and staff has laid bare the abject failure of pandemic policy interventions such as vaccination, masks, mass testing and quarantine to limit the spread of COVID-19.

When Cornell University in the U.S. reopened to in-person tuition in August 2021, it had in place an extensive testing, contact tracing and quarantine programme in conjunction with the local health department. Vaccination was mandated for all students and encouraged for employees (students as usual getting a rough deal from their university). Masks were required on campus and isolation orders and contact tracing occurred within hours of any positive result.

The university is therefore an excellent live experiment to see whether vaccination, masks, mass testing and quarantine – tools deployed to contain Covid outbreaks the world over – could succeed.

The findings – published in the Journal of the American Medical Association – could not be clearer: the measures made no visible impact on the outbreak.

They made them wear masks.

And now they're determined to inject them with an experimental vaccine that hasn't prevented thousands dying from Covid.

Other than for killing substantial numbers of people, the "vaccine" appears to be useless. 

Meantime, most Brits are self-isolating in fear and trepidation, not.

But is the compellingly articulate Dr. Yeadon right?

His preference seems to be for monologue, which leaves many questions unanswered. 

One question I'd like to see answered concerns the validity of Yeadon's claim about the impossibility of the community spread of Covid and other respiratory diseases. 

According to Yeadon, only sick people spread disease and sick people self isolate until they well again.  

But if that is correct, how come the common cold and influenza spread throughout the community on a regular basis?
