LavScam and the Trudeau Doctrine

Better dirty hands than empty bellies

"Better dirty hands than empty bellies" is the Trudeau doctrine as enunciated, not by Justin Trudeau, but by Pierre Elliot Trudeau, speaking about the delivery of lethal military equipment to the US during the Vietnam war.

It now appears that, during the fall, Justin Trudeau acted in accordance with the Trudeau doctrine by bringing pressure to bear on his now ex Justice Minister and Attorney General, Jodie Wilson-Raybould, urging her to scotch the prosecution of Quebec-based global engineering firm SNC Lavalin on charges of bribery and corruption. In so doing, he presumably resorted to the argument he has made repeatedly in public that prosecution of SNC Lavelin would put many Canadian jobs at risk.

The trouble for Trudeau with this line of action and logic is two-fold.

First, under the law, a company guilty of corruption cannot be granted a "remediation agreement" instead of prosecution on the grounds of "national economic interest," , as Trudeau may have urged.

Second, when Trudeau discussed the prosecution of SNC Lavalin with the Attorney General on September 17, a prosecution had already been launched, which gives the Prime Minister's intervention the appearance of an attempt to pervert the course of justice.

To an adherent of the Trudeau doctrine, obstruction of justice for the sake national economic interest might well be considered a reasonable trade-off. But if so, it proved to be a mistake to demote the  Attorney General to the lowly cabinet portfolio of Veterans Affairs so soon after she apparently refused to join the Prime Minister in a conspiracy to pervert the course of justice in the Lavalin case.

As a consequence of her demotion, Ms. Wilson-Raybould seems not to have been chastened, but rather embittered, giving rise to vilification by some cabinet colleagues and senior officials who reported her behavior in Cabinet to be self-centered and confrontational.

In response, it seems, to that further humiliation, the former Attorney General resigned her new cabinet post, while giving no reason since, so she claimed, as the former Attorney General, what she had to say was subject to solicitor-client privilege that only the Prime Minister can waive.

It is now reported that Ms. Wilson-Raybould will appear next week to testify before a Parliamentary committee. Whether she will speak freely remains to be seen. In the meantime, young Justin may be wishing he'd kept his hands clean.

Why?

In 2001, someone (nobody, including members of the 9/11 Commission, knows for sure who), knocked down New York's World Trade Center Towers One and Two with airliners. Later the same day, World Trade Center Tower Seven collapsed into its own footprint though not struck by an airliner — the only steel-frame high-rise (other than WTC 1 and 2) ever to do so except as the result of a controlled demolition. Very strange. But nobody to think about it: OK? Just blame it on the Muzzies.

Then the West embarked on a multi-trillion-dollar campaign (very profitable to some, e.g., the Bush-connected Carlyle Group: "we provide the gear to bomb places to Hell, then we get the contract to rebuild") to poke sticks into Muslim bees' nest in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and now Syria. At the same time the gates of Vienna, Paris, London, Berlin, and Miami were flung open to a flood of Muslims, many of whom are intent on the conquest of the West. This they say, is to be achieved by the womb not the sword, which shows the gentleness of Islam, which is so much admired by the Western Cuckservative who never tire of assuring us that Islam is "a religion of love." Still, as the Miami night club massacre among other recent events shows, a bit of sword-, or in this case gun-play, to clear some space in the decadent West is apparently* considered a good thing by some members of the Islamic settler advance party.

These developments raise the question, why is the Western elite conniving at the West's racial and cultural destruction? The answer, has two parts.

First, there are the liberal-lefties in government, including thousands upon thousands of them within the great bureaucracies, plus the Commies in academia who want to destroy Western capitalist civilization and impose the dictatorship of the proletariat. Under this hoped for Wesstern incarnation of the Soviet system, they see themselves as members of the privileged nomenclatura. They are the ones, they imagine, who will decide who goes to the gulag, and who is to be shot on the spot, Lenin's remedy for any opposition.

Second, there is the Money Power, which through control of the media, Hollywood, FaceBook, etc., supports the lib-left effort to make political correctness the religion of the West. They do so in the knowledge that the loony PC multiculti agenda will destroy the sovereign, democratic nation state, and make way for global governance, i.e., government by:

(1) Trade deals negotiated by the largest capitalist entities (about 150 firms control most international business). These are the deals that Treason Party leaders including Obama, Cameron, Merkel, etc., are seeking to adopt right now, deals that transfer large powers from the nation state to international corporations; and

(2) International organizations such as the EU, WTO and the UN, which are easily manipulated by the money power by the usual mundane forms of bribery and corruption  (for example, wasn't UN Sec. Gen Kofi Annan on the take in the Iraq oil for food deal?).

———
* I say apparently, because there never seems to be a competent investigation following any incident of so-called Islamic terrorism, whether it be 9/11, the London Tube bombings, or the recent Paris nightclub shootings. So whether it's Muslims taking the initiative, or a revived Gladio, or similar organization, that should take the credit, is unclear.

NATO Unloads more ordnance on Libya than the Luftwaffe dumped on Britain during WW2

Nazi Luftwaffe over England

As of yesterday, NATO reports having conducted a total of 20,395 air sorties over Libya since March 31, including 7,681 strike sorties.

NATO does not report how much high explosive was delivered to Libyan targets, but we can make a rough estimate. A Canadian CF-18 can deliver between six and eight tons of armaments, depending on which particular version of the plane is deployed, whereas and American B-2 stealth bomber can deliver up to 60 tons in a single sortie. It would seem conservative, therefore, to assume an average bomb load of around ten tons per strike sortie (even allowing for a percentage of aborted missions), or a total of 77,000 tons.

That compares favorably with the 74,000 tons that the Nazis managed to drop over England during the Blitz of WW2, and amounts to more than ten kilograms of high explosive for every citizen of Libya.

There is a difference, though, between the Luftwaffe dropping bombs more or less haphazardly in the vicinity of London or some other very large target -- usually at night from above a blanket of cloud -- and NATO delivering laser guided smart bombs in Libya today. Smart bombs yield much more useful death and destruction per ton.

Nazi bombing of Britain during WW2 killed about 40,000 civilians. No reliable estimates of the death toll from NATO bombing in Libya are available: but is it likely to be less than 40,000?

Meantime:

The Tripolitanians aren't cheering that much;

the African Union won't recognize the rebel Transitional Council;

But unlike Libya all is peaceful in Morocco (Human Development Index rank 125 versus Libya, the highest in Africa, at 58)

And those ingrates in South Africa have started talking about NATO war crimes in Libya.

And NATO declares being in Gadaffi’s political camp a capital offence.

On a more cheeful note: NATO nations set to reap spoils of Libya war.
