Scott Ritter: Ukraine is Turning Into a NATO Russia Proxy War
Craig Murray: What Might A Ukraine Peace Agreement Look Like?
Murray, a former UK Ambassador to Uzbekistan, thinks Putin will be ready to end the war with an acknowledgment of Crimea as Russian territory. LOL. Murray is either going soft in the head of carrying water for his old Foreign Office associates. Putin already controls both the sovereign republics of Donetsk and Luhansk, plus Kerson Oblast, while seemingly intent on gaining control of most, if not all, of the rest of Ukraine East of the Dneiper River. Only by force is it possible that Zelensky and his NATO backers will achieve any other outcome.
Then if Russia responds by sinking a coupla US aircraft carriers ....
Might be a good idea for Biden to think about the consequences, assuming he has a clue as to what's going on, and assuming further that he is capable of coherent thought, which seems unlikely.
Only somewhat thematically related, but I read this maybe in three separate places this morning, often word for word:
ReplyDelete"“Putin’s decision to expel Canadian media from Moscow is an attempt to silence them from reporting the facts, and it is unacceptable,” Trudeau said. “Journalists must be able to work safely – free from censorship, intimidation, and interference. That is something Canada will always stand up for.”"
The comments that follow are sometimes naughty, but it occurs to me that Justin T. has become one of the most famous PMs in Canadian history. No one got this sort of coverage (or criticism, sometimes) than this fellow.
In the Golden Age of Lester Pearson I lived in a small tobacco growing town in Ontario and it mattered little who was PM. People were busy, there was lots to be busy about, and the country seemed to run itself. I begin to think that's the definition of "golden age". Has nothing to do with great deeds or disasters. It's when the goofy meter is low, and people's lives come first. We need to get that across to ALL the world's leaders, but I don't know how.
The evil that men do lives after them, which is why the only Chinese leader everyone knows is Mao, the only Ugandan leader anyone can name is Idi Amin, the only Cambodian leader anyone remembers is Pol Pot, and quite possibly the only Canadian leader to be remembered by future generations will be wannabe dictator, Justin Trudeau.
