National Post, September 24, 2017: Russian parliamentarians are objecting to Canada’s stated plans to eventually sell weapons to Ukraine.
After a Friday meeting with visiting Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Canada is beginning the lengthy process to certify Ukraine to buy Canadian weapons.
In statements reported by Russia’s state-owned Sputnik news agency, lawmaker Andrei Krasov called Trudeau’s comments “short-sighted statements” and said Russia should “do everything possible to prevent it from happening.”
A case of like father like son. During the 1960's, Canada supplied the US with lethal weapons for use against the Vietnamese, an action justified by then Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau with the words: "Better dirty hands than empty bellies."
Apparently Canadians are still unable to fill their bellies without helping the US and its proxies to kill people with whom they have no quarrel.
