At the NATO summit agreements were reached on the provision of military advisers and supplies of modern armaments from the United States, France, Italy, Poland and NorwayA claim since denied by all but France.
On Otto Von Bismarck's principle that in war, one should believe nothing until it has been officially denied, the denials seem to confirm that Saturday's ceasefire "agreement" made among parties representing no one in particular, is a non-starter, or rather a non-war-ender, which is to say a meaningless irrelevance preceding further escalation to a full-blown proxy war between Nazi-NATO and Russia.
Meantime, shelling resumes in Mariupol and Donetsk; while the US and Ukraine plan joint naval drills in the Black Sea; NATO stages massive military drills in Latvia; Britain faces the imminent prospect of having its own "terrorist" breakaway region of Scotland; Gorby warns of a terrifying massacre in store for Europe (aren't all massacres terrifying?); the EU comedy team of Von Rompy and Bozozo threaten new sanctions against Russia before the ink on the ceasefire agreement has dried; Russia imposes import bans on substandard Ukrainian cake (since they have pledged help to Ukraine, let the French eat it); and Ukie troops opt for regime change in Kiev.
And now, despite Merkel's claimed wish for a solution in the Ukraine that does not hurt Russia, Germany is to supply Ukrainian troops with bullet-proof vests, thus insuring each and every Ukie soldier a better chance to kill a Russkie. What's more, Europe's decided to freeze in the dark this winter by imposing sanctions of Russian oil and gas exporters.
