Overpopulation: Learning to Love the Plague

Britain's Ministry of Defense, Development, Concepts and Doctrine Center predicts that the "strategic context" facing Britain's armed forces within 30 years will include a brain chipped population, out-of-control immigration, class warfare and the use of neutron bombs and biological weapons to combat overpopulation.

Not content, apparently, to impoverish us through taxation, the bastards want to reduce us to robotic slavery before wiping us entirely from the face of the planet.

But what's with these people who want to wage war against humanity?

Has the environmental movement morphed into a campaign for global genocide? Do they love the snail darter and the smallpox bacillus more than they love people?

Or is it just that they'd rather kill off a whole bunch of people than give up the SUV?

Ted Turner thinks a total world population of about 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be "ideal".

Well if he's so keen to see the population reduced, why doesn't he off himself? It'd be a start. And I'm sure his environmental footprint is a lot larger than mine.

With the executive jet crowd gone, perhaps a total world populaton of slightly more than 250-300 million people would turn out to be "ideal."

Anyway, what's this "ideal"? In times past, Christians considered every human a child of God, created in God's image, and therefore, a being of intrinsic worth.

That was the ideal expressed by Sam Johnson when asked why he placed pennies in the hands of beggars sleeping on the street: "Why?" he replied, "so they can beg on."

But now, it seems, everyone thinks wholesale slaughter would be the best solution to the problem with street people.

That's, naturally, how Paul Wolfowitz, Dick Cheney, William Kristol, Donald Rumsfeld feel.

But also Prince Phillip, who says he'd like to be reincarnated as a deadly virus and kill a whole lot of people.

In case his wish is not granted, he might do the next best thing and emulate Prince Albert, his predecessor as Queen's consort, contract Typhoid (do they still have bad drains at Windsor Castle?) and quit the scene sooner rather than later. It'd open up a bit of space.

But maybe this craze for mass murder is just in the Christian West: the worlds of Bush and Blair. Perhaps Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhist, even a few atheists, believe otherwise.
