The Yaroslave Hunca Affair: Canadian Leadership Dumbness Attains a New Extreme

On the occasion of the Ukrainian President's attendance at the Parliament in Ottawa, the speaker of the House, Anthony Rota, drew attention to the presence in the Gallery of Yaroslav Hunka, who he described as:

A Ukrainian Canadian veteran from the Second World War who fought for Ukrainian independence against the Russians ... and continues to support the troops toeday even at his age of 98. ...

In response to which statement, the members of the house gave Mr. Hunca a standing ovation. This, however, led to embarrassment when it became known that Mr. Hunca had fought not with Ukrainian forces but with the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (1st Galician), a military formation of Nazi Germany with a record for war crimes and atrocities.

Referring to this perceived embarrassment, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in the house "how deeply sorry Canada is (for) this egregious error."

Bur in fact the error was far more egregious and ridiculous than Trudeau acknowledged, or probably even now understands. That is because: first, Yaroslav Hunca was neither by birth nor upbringing a Ukrainian, but a a citizen of Galicia, a region then part of Poland; and second, because Hunca fought not for Ukraine but as a Galician seeking to reverse the incorporation of his homeland into the Soviet Republic of Ukraine.

According to Hunca's memoire, the Soviet occupation of Galicia was brutal, with many who failed to cooperate with the Soviet authorities being exiled to Siberia. It was out of hatred for the occupation of his homeland and its enforced incorporation into the Ukrainian Soviet Republic that led Hunca to join with German forces engaged against the Soviets. 

Thus, Yaroslav Hunca was a brave lad who fought for the independence of his homeland against its incorporation into Communist Ukraine. 

In the context of Justin Trudeau's embarrassment over the Hunca affair, what is most interesting is the parallel between Hunca's membership in a Nazi military formation, and Canada's 16-billion-dollar and rising investment in Ukraine's war with Russia, notwithstanding the existence of multiple Nazi formations within the Ukrainian military. 

But then ignorance and humbug are what we have come to expect f'rom Canada's low IQ ruling elite.

Sensing that the public is finally tiring of his lies, exhibitionism and petulant antics, Justin the Unwise, Prime Minister of global pipsqueak Canada, has embarked on a diplomatic war with India, a country that accounts for one in four of the World's population. 

For what reason?

A sikh "leader"  -- i.e., an advocate for the creation of an independent Sikh state to be carved out of India's Punjab -- and a Canadian citizen, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, was murdered in British Columbia. Trudeau claims to have "credible evidence" that the murder was carried out by an agent or agents of the Government of India. 

Trudeau's "credible evidence" may indeed be credible if not invincible proof of guilt. But in that case, why not demand the extradition of the supposed assassin(s) under the terms of the Canada - India extradition treaty, for trial with due process in Canada? India's agreement to extradite would allow the credibility of Trudeau's "credible evidence" to publicly examined. 

An Indian refusal to extradite would be tantamount to an Indian admission of responsibility, the point Trudeau seeks to make, while denying India justification for the retaliatory measures it is now taking. And let there be no mistake, India's retaliatory measures will undermine Canada's trade with the World's most populous nation, a nation that accounts for a large share of the World's economy and with an economy growing twice as rapidly as Canada's.

But for stupid, especially when facing the prospect of electoral defeat, we can rely on our Justin. Sikhs, after all, represent over two percent of Canada's population, hold 18 Parliamentary seats and occupy four posts in the Liberal Government.

Zero Hedge: An unprecedented major row in Canada-India relations has broken out into the open on Monday, after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in a televised speech to the House of Commons accused Indian intelligence of carrying out an extrajudicial killing on Canadian soil.

Trudeau cited "credible" intelligence pointing to "agents of the government of India" as being behind the June murder of a prominent Sikh leader named Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was shot dead outside a Sikh temple in Surrey, British Columbia.

Epoch Times: In retaliation for Canada linking India with the killing of a B.C. man, the Indian government has now put a stop to the processing of visas for Canadians and says it requested a reduction of Canadian diplomats in the country.

“We have informed the Canadian government that there should be parity in strength and rank equivalents ... in mutual diplomatic presence,” Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesman Arindam Bagchi told reporters on Sept. 21.

Breitbart: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau described “climate change” as a threat to Canadian national security during a press conference on Friday in Cold Lake, Alberta, alleging that global warming increases Russian military “accessibility” to Canada’s Arctic north.

Two things Justin:

First, is it not idiotic, having sent heavy artillery and ammo to Ukraine with which the Ukrainians are even now surely killing Russians, to depend for our defense against Russia -- our closest neighbor after the United States -- on snow and ice?

Second, if we are to promote lethal hostility against Russia, why do we have no military capacity on the ground in the Arctic to face the Russian threat? A Northern Regiment, equipped for combat under Arctic conditions would not only provide Canada with actual defensive capacity, but provide a significant economic stimulus to Northern development. 

But sadly, logic is not within our leader's grasp. Posture and platitude, face-paint and fatuity are all that Trudeau has to offer. 

Debunking Trudeau's Lies About the Truckers' Convoy

True North May 17, 2021: Several key pieces of testimony have poked holes in Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s justification for using the Emergencies Act to quash peaceful freedom convoy protestors in February.

Throughout the protests, the Liberals and legacy media made a number of claims about the convoy ranging from extremist involvement, foreign funding and millionaires bankrolling the movement. To date, all of these claims have been called into question by law enforcement officials and fundraising executives.

Several Trudeau cabinet ministers claimed in February that foreign extremists were funding the convoy to undermine Canada’s democracy. Among these ministers was public safety minister Marco Mendicino who stated – without evidence – that many of the donations had “been raised from abroad.” Minister of emergency preparedness Bill Blair also claimed that “foreign entities” were behind the protests.

Media outlets including the Toronto Star and the CBC also published articles falsely suggesting that the convoy was foreign-funded. The CBC was forced to retract a story that claimed that support for the convoy had come mainly from abroad.

Liberal MP Taleeb Noormohamed also compared the convoy donations to “terrorist financing” and called on terrorist-funding watchdogs to investigate fundraising platforms.

Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov has provoked outrage by asserting that Adolf Hitler had “Jewish origins.” The statement was made in an interview on Italian television when Lavrov was asked how  Ukraine could have a pro-Nazi government when the Ukrainian President, Zelensky, is a Jew.

Lavrov's statement prompted Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to denounce the Russian Foreign Minister’s comments. They are, he told reporters during a media availability in Windsor, Ontario “ridiculous and unacceptable.”

In fact, Lavrov acknowledged that concerning his claim about Hitler's ancestry, "I may be wrong." 

But his point remains: Being a Jew is no bar to being a Nazi. There were thousands of Nazi Jews in Hitler's Germany. Furthermore, there were thousands of German Jews who served in Hitler's armed forces. 

But the most obvious validation of Lavrov's point, namely that being a Jew is no bar to being a Nazi, is the Jewish state of Israel. Israel proclaims itself to be "The Jewish State." It is an avowedly racist state which has consistently treated the non-Jewish indigenous inhabitants of Palestine brutally. 

As Moshe Dayan, head of the Israeli Defense Forces stated in 1970:

"We have no solution… You [Palestinians] shall continue to live like dogs, and whoever wishes may leave, and we will see where this process leads."

Israelis are the ultimate Nazi's, although they differ from Hitler's Nazis in being, thus far, rather more successful in occupying the land of others and adopting a policy of ethnic cleansing.  

So, no Justin, you are a simple-minded twit. There's no conflict between Judaism and Nazism. They are essentially the same thing, although different groups may pursue the policy of national supremacism with greater or lesser success. 

In fact, until the Western nations adopted fools and traitors to lead them, all were nationalist and proud of it. And indeed any other policy constitutes a policy of national suicide. 

The process of state imposed national suicide is evident in the transformation of Britain under the traitor Edward Health and every one of his successors, from the homeland of the British People to a nation where the capital city,  London, and other great urban centers have majority ethnic populations. 

The same process of national suicide is the Trudeau family policy. 

Pierre Trudeau effectively legalized abortion while facilitating divorce, causing by the end of his reign, the national fertility rate to fall below the replacement rate for the first time in Canada's more than 400-year history. Under Justin Trudeau the decline in Canada's fertility continues to fall and stands now at barely two-thirds of the replacement rate.

But not to worry. Justin Trudeau is aiming for 450,000 immigrants this year, almost 100,000 more than the number of live births.

True, that means Canada is destroying its own posterity, but who cares? 

Yeah, Long Live Canada. The Replacement Nation, that is, not your old stock, white, racist, misogynistic, Trucker-Loving Europeans. 

But Canadians old-stock or new, should watch out for payback for Justin Trudeau's contemptuous treatment of Russia. The Russians, it seems, don't like countries that help Ukrainians kill Russians. 

True, we've only supplied some old field guns, dating from World War 1 perhaps and presumably deemed surplus to requirement. Still, to the Russians it's an ugly gesture. And the Russians are especially touchy right now. 

Just this week Russia threatened to annihilate the British Isles with a robot sub armed with a nuke warhead capable of generating a 500-foot tsunami somewhere inside British territorial waters:

So should Canada care about possible Russian push back?

Why not? Russia, after all, is Canada's nearest neighbor after the United States, and we have 162,000 km of undefended Arctic coastline confronting Russia's highly militarized Arctic Coast of similar extent.

So might Russia not make a lighting incursion into the Canadian North, perhaps to let off some giant firecracker to elicit greater respect from the fount of  imbecility in Ottawa, or even, perhaps, to declare the Sovereign Democratic Republic of Greater Inuvik a Russian protectorate.

Canada's Justice Center for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) has emerged as a highly energetic and articulate defender of the rights of the eight to ten million Canadians who have been labelled by Prime Minister Trudeau, with Hitlerian rhetoric, as “misogynist, anti-science, racist, extremists.” 

Why? 

Because they have declined to accept injection with an experimental vaccine — a vaccine known to have caused heart damage or death to tens of thousands in North America alone — to reduce, not the risk of infection, but the risk of possibly severe illness from a virus that, in it's currently circulating form, causes symptoms generally difficult to distinguish from those of the common cold.

Anyone familiar with the scientific literature knows that that most published research findings are false (and here). So when the media push a claim to scientific fact bearing on a highly contentious political issue, consider the evidence before accepting the claim.

In relation to the Toronto Globe and Mail's headline of April 24 claiming that the Unvaccinated increase risk of infection for others: study skepticism is certainly warranted because, so far as it relates to Covid-19, the claim is untrue.

The article begins: 

People who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 contribute disproportionately to the risk of infection among those who have been vaccinated, according to a new study ...

Oh yes? 

Who says? 

Who says is J. Fishman et al., in an article in the current issue of the Canadian Medical Association Journal entitled: 

Impact of population mixing between vaccinated and unvaccinated subpopulations on infectious disease dynamics: implications for SARS-CoV-2 transmission

Trouble is, the paper reports what is a purely mathematical exercise, based on no real world data whatsoever. That this is a problem becomes evident if one considers the real world data that would be needed to confirm the authors' conclusions. 

In particular, data would be necessary to show at least one of the following things:

(1) That unvaccinated persons have a higher Covid-19 infection rate than the vaccinated;

(2) That unvaccinated persons infected with Covid-19 are more infectious that the vaccinated; or

(3) In their interaction with others, unvaccinated persons are in some way more social, promiscuous or more careless of the risk of infection than the vaccinated. 

Proposition (1) we know to be false. The weekly Covid Surveillance Reports compiled by the UK Health Security Agency have shown consistently over many months that overall, and  except in the youngest age classes, the vaccinated have a Covid-19 case rate several times that of the unvaccinated (see Table 13 on Page 44).

...Delta infection resulted in similarly high SARS-CoV-2 viral loads in vaccinated and unvaccinated people. High viral loads suggest an increased risk of transmission and raised concern that, unlike with other variants, vaccinated people infected with Delta can transmit the virus. ...

Which is to say, vaccinated persons can pass Covid-19 just as readily as the unvaccinated.  

Proposition (3) is obviously false. It is the vaccinated who, believing, correctly or otherwise, that they are immune from serious harm from Covid-19, are most likely to eat out, attend a party at No. 10 Downing St. during a national lockdown, or whatever, whereas the unvaccinated, knowing themselves to be among the most vulnerable to severe Covid-19 illness, act with greater circumspection. 

So, yes, Fishman et al., from their base at Canada's top research university, have published a nonsense paper that has made a nonsense of the Canadian Medical Association Journal, while showing the Toronto Gobe and Mail to be the publication of elite correct thought that we have always supposed it to be. 

But why this particular lie? 

Let the reader decide. But one thing's for sure, that headline in the Globule sure helps cover wannabe dictator, Justin Trudeau's arse over his irrational and tyrannical vaccine mandates and his Hitlerian diatribe of hate directed at Freedom Rally supporters.

TRUCKERS WERE RIGHT: Freedom Convoy protest was legal, judge says, and Ottawa is now being sued

Farmers Forum, April 5, 2022: MONTREAL — The Canadian government trampled on fundamental human rights with its COVID restrictions, then overreached on dealing with the Freedom Convoy and must now answer to numerous lawsuits, including one by a former premier, says a well-respected constitutional lawyer.

Speaking on Montreal lawyer Viva Frei’s Youtube channel on March 25, Keith Wilson noted that the mischief charges against his client and convoy leader Tamara Lich, will not be successful. She counselled truckers to move in order to comply with police demands, not to block emergency lanes, he said.

Wilson is also a lawyer for former Newfoundland Premier Brian Peckford, who is suing the federal government for breaching the charter of rights by preventing unvaccinated people from leaving the country or getting on a bus, train or ship.
“Obviously we are going to be able to establish Charter breaches,” Wilson said, adding that the government restricted mobility, security of the person and freedom of conscience.”

Wilson said he would not be able to live with himself if he hadn’t helped the Freedom Convoy when he got the call for help from the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms on Feb. 1.

“I have been so concerned about the direction of our country,” he said. “I have been so fundamentally concerned about the trampling of civil liberties and the lost of rights and the overreacting to COVID. I have been so concerned about the future for my children, deeply, deeply concerned, and was inspired by what the truckers were doing.”

Wilson also clarified that the Freedom Convoy protest was not illegal at any point, even though Prime Minister Trudeau called it illegal, and big media went along with it.

In fact, an Ontario supreme court judge sided with the convoy. When an injunction against honking horns was declared, the court also stated that “provided the terms of this Order are complied with, the defendents and other persons remain at liberty to engage in a peaceful, lawful and safe protest.”

Reality on the ground was often not being reported. While Ottawa police often announced they had made a number of arrests during the Freedom Convoy protests, they never mentioned that many incidents were called in by truckers after people slit their tires or cut gas lines, Wilson said. Police also negotiated with truckers as to which streets they would be allowed to block during the protest. When things heated up, the police blocked off Laurier Avenue to prevent east-west traffic flow even though there was not one truck or protest vehicle on that street.

The attorney general’s reason for freezing bank accounts was based on an affidavit by a police officer who based his testimony on what he read in the news, Wilson said, adding that courts don’t rely on third-party hearsay. “It’s that ridiculous. We ran into this problem of circularity all the time, of media saying something, police then saying, well the news is saying it, then the media saying, well the police said it.”

Wilson is already seeing some early confirmation that the truckers and their supporters have been slandered. Barry MacKillop, deputy-director of FINTRAC, the federal organization that goes after terrorism funds and criminal money-laundering, told the Commons finance committee that there was not a shred of illegal activity associated with the trucker convoy.

Said MacKillop: “There were people around the world who were fed up with COVID and were upset and saw the demonstrations. I believe they just wanted to support the cause. It was their own money. It wasn’t money that funded terrorism or was in any way money laundering.”

Wilson said that there was nothing to justify using the Federal Emergencies Act. “This is government writing a blank cheque over your rights and your life… this was a retaliatory measure by an authoritarian petulant child prime minster lashing out.”

Trudeau's Covid Big Lie

Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act, an Act of Parliament intended to deal with threats to national security, because a bunch of truckers were illegally parked in Ottawa and elsewhere during a peaceful protest against a Covid vaccine mandate. 

Why are Covid vaccine mandates so important to Trudeau?

Because they provide a justification for a vaccine passport linked with a digital database that can be readily expanded to record any aspect of your life history, and then used to control your life on the basis of that life history. 

So you donated a few dollars in support of the Truckers' Convoy? No Federal Government employment for you. Oh, and for now, you're denied access to your bank account. 

You declined the vax on religious grounds? That won't look good when the School Board considers your application for a teaching position. 

But Canadians are mostly passive in the face of Trudeau's totalitarian program.

Why?

For three reasons:

First, they've been terrorized by media-complicit government propaganda that presented a novel flu-like illness as comparable in virulence to the Black Death, a plague from the East that wiped out a third of Europe's population during the Fourteenth Century. 

Second, they've been persuaded by media-propagated propaganda that the untested novel mRNA vaccine will save us all from a horrible death by Covid. 

Third, they've swallowed the lie that the unvaxxed are a threat to the health and safety of the vaxxed. 

That is Trudeau's big Covid lie, that the unvaxxed threaten the health of the vaxxed. 

On the face of it, the idea that unvaxxed threaten the health of the vaxxed is bizarre, for if the vaxxed are endangered by the disease-spreading unvaxxed, then clearly the vax is not doing what a vaccine is supposed to do, which is provide immunity to infection. So why the fuss to have everyone vaxxed?

And with respect to the threat posed to the vaxxed by the unvaxxed, it has been stated by none other than Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the US National Institute for Allergy and Infections Diseases, that the vaxxed, if infected, carry as high a viral load as unvaxxed people who are infected.

But the vax lessens the severity of Covid illness. Thus, whereas an unvaxxed person who is Covid infected will likely feel sufficiently ill to stay home, a vaxxed person with Covid is more likely to carry on with the normal course of their life, spreading the virus as they go. 

So who is the greatest hazard to whom?

Well, as it happens, the UK Governments Health Security Agency's weekly Covid Surveillance Report provides conclusive evidence on that point.

So there you have conclusive evidence: except among children, it is not the unvaxxed, but the vaxxed who are most likely to be infected and, therefore, most likely to pass the virus on to you*.

But that the vax increases your risk of Covid is not what every Canadian knows. What Canadians have been repeatedly told by both Provincial authorities and the Government of Canada — from Saint Bonnie Henry of British Columbia to Mother Teresa Tam of Ottawa, plus our genius Prime Minister, Justin Cludeau — is that the unvaxxed are the unclean, a threat to public health. Indeed, they are dangerously deluded crackpots who threaten the welfare of the entire nation. 

Which is a lie. 

It is Trudeau's big lie. 

It's the Trudeau Government's justification for vax mandates and vax passports. 

It's the reason that, for the unvaxed, Canada now bears a resemblance to Stalin's Russia. The unvaxxed, like citizens of the Soviet Union, are legally prohibited from leaving the country, whether by air, rail or sea. 

Where exactly this is going remains to be seen. But here is former Canadian Foreign Minister, Maxime Bernier, leader of the People's Party of Canada,  on the vaccine passport, the implementation of which is absolutely dependent on Trudeau's big lie:

The absolute fraudulence of Canada's rationale for vaccine passports is provided by news this week from British Columbia, where eighty percent or more of the population is fully vaccinated, yet at least half the population have been infected by the latest Covid variant, Omicron.

So no, the vax does not stop the spread. It is the vaxxed, believing themselves immune, who are most likely to give you a dose of Corona. Trudeau's policy of demonizing the unvaxed and subjecting them to restrictions on their freedom of movement and association proves him to be stupid in the extreme or utterly corrupt. 

It is hard to believe he can be that stupid. He is, after all, able to call on the entire Canadian public service for advice, and the top guys in the Ottawa bureaucracy are not unintelligent people. So the inference is clear: Trudeaus is just another son-of-a-bitch wannabe tyrant.

How Zelensky Could End the War in Ukraine Now

Ukrainian Premier Zelensky is threatening World War III if his non-negotiable conditions for a settlement in Ukraine's ongoing war with Russia are not met.

So what are his conditions?

That Kyiv should rule over a culturally unified Ukraine. 

That means the suppression of the Russian language and culture of Eastern Ukraine, whatever the people there want. 

Specifically, it means enforcement of existing legislation denying Russian-language Government services, including education, throughout Russian-speaking Ukraine. 

That's a policy that Canada calls Cultural Genocide. It's what Zelensky's besty, Justin Trudeau, tearfully apologized for when addressing Canada's residential school system, a system designed to take the Indian out of the Indian and adapt him to Euro-Canadian life. 

But if Zelensky's Western Ukraine-dominated government is denied the right to take the Russian out of the Russians in Ukraine -- the people former Ukrainian Premier Julia Tymoshenko wanted to exterminate -- then Zelensky intends to bring down the entire world.

Thanks Zel, but no thanks. Here's a better idea: an oblast by oblast referendum on how Ukrainians wish to be governed. Here are the options:

A government of: 

A bilingual (Ukrainian/Russian) Ukraine;

A Ukrainian-speaking Ukraine;

A Ukrainian-speaking Western Ukraine;

A Russian-speaking Eastern Ukraine;

A neighboring state -- Russia, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, or Romania.

Whatever the outcome, such a referendum would end Ukraine's borderland status. The whole would either be ruled by a single government to which the majority of Ukrainians, in all regions, whatever their cultural heritage, bore allegiance, or the country would be divided between two or more states, each having the allegiance of the majority of its citizens. 

This, the most humane and reasonable solution, clearly would not suit the megalomaniacal Zelensky. But there is no reason why the world should back the head of the genocidal regime currently holding power in Kyiv.

The thing about the science of Covid is that there are two versions of it: One is "The Science" about which we hear much from low-IQ politicians such as Justin Trudeau, the other is a pretty complicated story of which I have only a limited grasp. But whatever may be the facts, I have no objection to people who are properly informed being given an experimental inoculation with something that apparently reduces -- for several months, anyway -- the risk of severe Covid illness (although it does not prevent either infection or transmission). However, I think it crazy, wrong, and possibly a manifestation of some deep corruption to mandate such so-called vaccination in response to a pandemic disease barely more deadly than the seasonal flu. Being experimental, which is to say, without long-term evaluation in either human or animal trials, there is no assurance of the vaccine's safety. Therefore, to force submission to such an experimental medical procedure is contrary to the code of medical ethics established at Nuremberg after World War 2. I think it particularly reprehensible to force this so-called vaccine on children who are extremely unlikely to suffer severe Covid illness — the number of children dying from Covid is far fewer than the number who succumb in most years to influenza.

Although rarely stated explicitly, the justification for compelled vaccination has been to protect others, i.e., to stop the spread. But it is evident from the excellent data gathered by the UK Health Security Agency (This is a link to their latest weekly Covid Surveillance report, see Page 44) that vaccination increases the Covid case rate (it more than doubles it in most age classes), and hence disease trransmission. This effect is presumably because the vaccinated, believing themselves to be protected, tolerate a greater risk of infection — and hence also of passing on the infection — than the unvaccinated.

My own view of the management of Covid in Western countries is that it has been idiotic from start to finish, and generally harmful, lethally so, to some among the most vulnerable people. The objective of government authorities throughout has been to keep people frightened so they would unresistingly do exactly as idiots like Trudeau and his dim-witted advisors and ministers demanded. True, Covid has killed many people (though perhaps far fewer than claimed), but mostly, these were people of our age group who were, with us, fellow travelers nearing the end of our journey to the grave. In particular, they were the most frail among the elderly, especially those in care homes where a lack of daily exercise diminishes cardiovascular and respiratory capacity. For such people, a respiratory disease is inevitably a severe and often overwhelming challenge. But the propaganda never allowed attention to focus on the very high dependence of Covid mortality on age and, among younger people, specific conditions such as asthma, obesity and diabetes that predispose to severe illness.

But since we, and in fact most people of our age group, are still alert of mind and more or less physically active, the risk of Covid is not that great. Moreover, living in our own homes, the risk of infection is much less than that of younger persons commuting to the office five days a week, and caring for children who are the most important vectors of respiratory diseases. What this means is that there was no good reason for lock-downs of entire countries when those most at risk were already in effect locked-down in care homes, which as is now evident, are among the most dangerous places for a vulnerable person to be.

In the climate of propaganda and cultivated fear that governments and the media created, it has been impossible for most people to make a rational decision about the Covid vax. Vaccination will prolong life of care home occupants, which may or may not be what we and the care home occupants themselves want. Furthermore, it will save many old and middle-aged people from the severest though non-fatal consequences of Covid infection. That being the case, S... (our oldest sibling) might be wise to take the shot, although she must be very fit, so her chances of surviving Covid are almost certainly well above 90%. (At our age, to lose a year or two of freedom to lockdowns, thereby to avoid a five or 10% risk if death by Covid seems a poor bargain. 

As for what Western governments have imposed on the rest of the population, it would create outrage if people understood the stupidity of it. Excuse me for expressing myself plainly (I suppose there is room for other credible views, but I am not sure what they are). And the vaccine will do almost nothing for children, nearly all of whom experience Covid with few if any symptoms, but acquire from it long-term, possibly life-long, memory-cell immunity from severe illness, if not infection. In this connection, it may be considered that the relatively mild Omicron variant acts as a living vaccine, or would do so, if allowed free circulation.

As for possible adverse long-term consequences of the so-called vaccine, these should be of greatest concern to younger adults and parents of children. Probably, the long-term consequences will be insignificant, but there is presently no certainty of that. One unsettling discovery is that the spike protein mRNA, which is the active component of the vaccine, can be retrotranscribed to DNA and then incorporated into the genome. Then you could have a life-long supply of spike protein. That this is a serious problem seems slight, but about risks that remain to be evaluated by long-term testing, one cannot give confident assurances.

The big lie, vigorously promoted by the Trudeau Government, is that the unvaccinated -- in this case truckers, are a threat to the health and welfare of the vaccinated. 

The proof that this is a lie is provided by the Covid case data which show that the vaxxed in all but the youngest age categories have a much higher Covid infection rate than the unvaxxed. 

Thus it is the vaxxed who represent a danger to the unvaxxed, not the other way around. 

It is only by virtue of this counter-intuitive reality that Trudeau may succeed in his grab absolute power.

A just published study, jointly led by Bar-Ilan University and Galilee Medical Center, looked for correlations between pre-infection serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) level and COVID-19 severity and mortality. Patients with a vitamin D deficiency, defined as < 20 ng/mL, were 14 times more likely to have severe or fatal COVID-19 disease than patients with 25(OH)D ≥ 40 ng/mL.

Overall, a low vitamin D status was present in 87.4% of patients with severe or critical COVID-19, but only 34.3% of patients with mild to moderate disease were vitamin D deficient. Mortality among patients with sufficient vitamin D was 2.3%, but 25.6% in vitamin D deficient patients,an eleven-fold difference. Although not directly comparable, it is interesting in this connection to not that, according to current UK data (see Page 43), there is only a three-fold difference in all-ages death rate from Covid between the vaccinated and the unvaccinated. 

It would seem that instead of seeking to instigate a civil insurrection by brutally and mendaciously insulting vax mandate protesters, Justin Trudeau would have done better to suggest that the unvaxxed take a cheap nutritional supplement not known to have killed anyone when taken in moderate quantity, and certainly not to have killed thousands, while injuring tens of thousands more, as is true of the vax.
